The Reading Room

This building is on Earby Road at the front of the Inghamite Chapel.  It was used before chapel services to discuss the Bible.

The Reading Room was also used to read newspapers to the local population, particularly during the Crimean War.

It has also had other uses in the past such as a collecting point for the payment of rates for Skipton Union.

In the attached document below is some more information on the Reading Room.

There is also mention within the survey documents done on the Inghamite Chapel, which can be found by clicking the link.
