Geology Museum
The Museum was opened in 1830 and is one of the world's first purpose built museums. It was built to a design suggested by William Smith. He was one of the foremost geologists of his time and was the first to suggest that rock strata could be dated by the fossils it contained.
Spa Bridge
The cast iron Spa Bridge was opened on 19th July 1827 to provide direct access from St Nicholas Cliff to the Spa. It towers 21m above the valley and has superb views out to sea. It was originally a road toll bridge but is now limited to Pedestrian traffic.
