GBA RESTRUCTURING

Last year the GBA started a process of consultation with clubs proposing some radical changes in the way the association should be run. This process culminated in a vote by clubs in July 2023 in favour of adopting a new Constitution and implementing a program of restructuring over the next 2 years. The restructure will abolish the split between Men's and Women's divisions and result in a unified and more streamlined organisation. There was a full discussion of the plan and timescales of the implementations at the GBA Joint Council meeting on 11 November 2023 (full text below), attended by our President. The top and second level organisational structures are now available and can also be viewed in the attachments below. 

One immediate practical outcome is that GBA have acquired an online management system (already used by several other counties), which, among other things, will simplify the management of affiliations and handle arrangements for County competitions (club Secretary very happy about both of these!).
