Collingham Village Care

The origins of Collingham & District Village Care can be traced back to 1982 when a Volunteer Group was formed to assist with transport to the Medical Centre.  The transport system was set up with a few willing volunteers and this soon expanded to include visits to hospitals, dentist, opticians, hairdressers, social interaction groups, etc. This service is available to patients registered with Collingham Medical Centre.

The group has gone from strength to strength and is a Registered Charity (no.1140642) and as such has a constitution.  The group relies on fundraising activities, donations and bequests to supplement the funds required to run the transport scheme and support other groups within the village.  There is a dedicated team of volunteer drivers and co-ordinators who give their time willingly to help those who have difficulty accessing transport.  We continue to work jointly with the Medical Centre to serve the interests of patients.
