Edward (Eddie) Dennison, May 1938 - December 2022

Club President 2022

Club Member 36 years, 1986 - 2022

On Sunday 14th April, a new bench at our green was inaugurated in memory of Eddie Dennison.

Eddie did so much for the club, including 17 years as match secretary and 10 years as men's captain and vice captain. Personally he won 38 internal tournaments over the years and was Basildon's Champion of Champions 3 times. He was a stalwart member of the various teams that he was part of in the Chelmsford and Brentwood leagues.

Eddie would never criticise play, he would always offer encouragement and advice.
He was a true gentleman and is remembered with affection by all who knew him.
