M CUP & CAMERON TROPHY 25

Millennium Cup

Sunday saw the Mens Champion (2024) - Terry Carline play against Maz Howe, Ladies Champion (2024) in the Annual Millennium Cup.

A pretty even game to commence with but on 15 all Maz then dropped 3 shots, followed by a further 3 shots to enable Terry, on the 25th end, to win this title for 2025.

Congratulations to Terry and Commiserations to Maz.

Cameron Trophy

Immediately after as tradition goes the Cameron Trophy was played, which consisted of Triples (there were 9 teams) playing 6 ends against another team and then moving on to play a different team,  on another rink, for a further 6 ends. This was repeated once more. As there was an odd number in each round there was one team with a bye - they were given 5 shots on that particular game to compensate not playing.

A fun afternoon which was then finished off with tea and cake and a raffle.

Congratulations to all for entering in such a good spirit.

9th Place: Team 7 - Jeff Gartell, Jackie Jones & Tony Jones 12 - 23 (-11) - for holding everyone else up they were awarded a bar of chocolate each.

8th Place: Team 6  -  Allan Mecham, Anne Tongeman & Alex Stavrou 11 - 18 ( -7).

7th Place: Team 1 - Lesley Ball, Polo & Carolyn Borg-Ward 13 - 18 (- 5)

6th Place: Team 4 - Vic Smith, Beverley Bridge & John Raymond 15 - 14 (+1)

Joint 4th Place: Team 3 - Mark Boltwood, Pamela Keene & Keith Croombs 15 - 11 (+4)

Joint 4th Pace: Team 2 - Denise Latter, Jack Carline & Terry Carline 18 - 14 (+4)

3rd Place: Team 8 - Sue Dyball, George Gatford, & Des Horn 18 - 10 (+8)

2nd Place: Team 5 - Tessa Larner, Jimmy Wan & Tommy Tsoi 23 - 12 (+9)

1st Place - Team 9 - Maria Hall, Maz Howe & Alan Howe 26 - 8 (+ 16) - winning a bottle of wine each, along with the Trophy for a year.
