Mens County Games 2025

Singles 4 wood Singles

Geoff Gair beat Nick Eager (Tarring Priory) 23-19 and has been given a walkover in the next round. 

Terry Carline was given a walkover against Worthing Pavilion on Friday 13th June and will play from Fishbourne on Monday 16th June with the winner playing Geoff on Thursday 19th! 

 

Jack Carline will be playing his first on June 16th at Bognor against Glynn Ball.

Alex Stavrou will be playing at home on Monday 16th against Alfie Knight (Pulborough)

 

Unbadged 4 wood Singles

Geoff Gair at home to Witterings on

Paul Ground will be at home against Midhurst on Friday 27th June

Alan Howe will be away at Arundel on Friday 27th June

 

Champion of Champions Singles

Terry Carline will play away to Witterings on Wednesday 2nd July

 

Mens Pairs

Mike Sherwood & George Gatford lost away to Witterings on Friday 30th May

Terry & Jack Carline have won 3 matches and will play in the Quarterfinals at Pavilion in July.

Alex Stavrou and Alan Howe lost away to Arundel on Monday 2nd June

Mens Triples

Jack Carline, Tony Jones  & John Hoare  played at home against 3 from Sussex Masonics on Monday 19th May and achieved a good win over a close game of 15 - 14 shots .Next Round on Thursday 22nd May home to Southbourne resulted in another close game but winning 14 - 13.

Next round, again at home will be against Tarring Priory on BH Monday 26th May. This round unfortunately  resulted in a loss 10 - 24

Alex Stavrou, Alan Howe & Geoff Gair were due to play at Norfolk on Monday 19th May but had a walkover. They played at Middleton on Thursday 22nd May and succeeded in a good win of 26 - 11.

Next round is on BH Monday at Arundel which they unfortunately lost 14 - 22

Mens Fours

Terry Carline, Jack Carline, Alex Stavrou & Geoff Gair played the first round at home against a Worthing Pavilion team but unfortunately bowed out losing 13 - 15.

Mens Senior Fours

Alex Stavrou, Geoff Gair, Alan Howe and Jimmy Wan played their first game in round 2 against and at Tarring Priory on Wednesday 28th May, lost 7 - 23

Abergavenney

First Round was against Worthing Pavilion on Wednesday 14th May.

Home team, consisting of Paul Ground, Mike Sherwood, Alan Howe  lost 11 - 21

Away Team consisting of  Terry Carline, Jack Carline, Tony Jones & Geoff Gair lost  15 - 23

Overall loss  26 - 44
