County Pairs

Friday 13th May Denise Latter & Anne Tongeman were the Challengers in the first round of the County Pairs against another pair from Maltravers - April Mitchell & Maz Howe.

After a good start on both sides April & Maz crept ahead to win the match 22 - 12.

In the next round, April and Maz  played on Tuesday 17th May, at home.against a couple from Goring Manor. After going 7 shots down they managed to go ahead and win the match 19 - 12.

Friday 20th will see them away to a Norfolk couple. Due to weather conditions this was rearranged to Sundsy 22nd. Unfortunately April was unable to play due to a prior commitments so Jean Sheldon stepped in. After a great nip and tuck game being 14 all on the 16th end Maz and Jean won the last 2 ends to win 19 shots to 14.

Next round, being the quarter finals Maz and Jean played at  home to a Worthing Pavilion pair. After another battle being 15 all on the 17th end they lost one shot by a mere millimetre going down 15 - 16.
