Silver Jubilee Celebrations 1977

The second showing of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations in Bourton in 1977 was held in the Community Centre yesterday, which was very much enjoyed by those attending. It really was incredible what was achieved in terms of the range of activities provided at that time for residents to enjoy. The Council would like to extend grateful thanks to Joan Minchin for having given up so much time in 1977 to ensure there's a permanent record of this event; to Mollie Wise for brilliantly hosting both shows and to Derek for providing transport; to all the local volunteers who served refreshments and to Jonathan Jowitt for reproducing a number of DVDs for sale. We still have a limited number of DVDs available at a cost of £2 each (proceeds to Diabetes UK) - if any residents wish to purchase a copy, please contact the Parish Council office.
