Volunteers

In order to keep costs down the Council appealed for residents to be part of a Volunteer Working Group to help out with various work in and around the Centre and the village.  This was separated out into a Gardening Team and a General Working Party, and has now been expanded to include a Litter Picking Working Party.  The work they do is really an enormous help and saves the Council having to pay for outside help in a number of instances.  There are no obligations and residents can elect to help whenever they wish, when tasks are identified.  Some are ongoing (such as maintaining the flower beds) and some are one-off (erecting the new storage shed at the Centre) but assistance is purely voluntary as and when members of the group have the time and relevant skills.  Any residents who would be willing to be part of this team are asked to contact the Clerk for further information.
