Memories of Alton Project

Introduction

The aim of the project is to record, transcribe and research the memories of people who were born, brought up, or lived in Alton and the surrounding villages, who considered Alton to be their ‘Market Town’.

Paul Fenwick of the Alton U3A Local History Projects Group collected all the memories and put together these books on various topics. They are published by the Friends of the Curtis Museum and Allen Gallery and can be bought in the Museum for £3.00. To obtain by post, please go to our How to Order page. If you have any enquiries, please contact Jane Hurst via the CONTACT page.
