Dear Residents

Ordering and collecting prescriptions can be a challenge at the best of times but at the moment is particularly difficult with waits of 1-2 hours in long queues.

To get around this and prevent unnecessary movement out of the village we may be able to pool resources to collect prescriptions. Many people order online and have home delivery and moving to this system is an excellent idea. However like online supermarket shopping the system has been flooded and so it may not be possible .

If anyone needs help with delivery of their repeat prescription order slip or collection of drugs please email the to the following address medsC19@berwickstjames.org.uk   The E mail will come to me.

In order to help me coordinate thing and help please could you provide the following information:

  • When the prescription is due
  • Your Doctors surgery or place you normally collect prescriptions

Please allow 7 days for your order to be processed at this challenging time. I am confident that the problems are purely logistical as pharmacies cope with an entirely new way of working coupled with an understandable 'panic ordering’.  The pharmaceutical industry is working very hard to continue to produce medications.

Keep well

Sally Hiscock
