Defibrillator

The Village defibrillator is now located at the Village Hall on Lippen Lane.  The code to open the locked box is "0000".

It is not absolutely necessary to have undergone the training to use the defibrillator but obviously this will help to speed up the time taken to start caring for the patient, and speed of action is vital for a positive outcome in case of heart attack.  The machine will carefully guide you through what is required and it will not shock a patient who does not need it.  Remember to call 999 before doing anything else.

Training is carried out locally from time to time and will be advertised on this website.  Please sign up for Email Alerts to ensure that you don't miss the next training opportunity.

Below are some relevant videos from St John Ambulance.  These do not replace the training course but can act as a reminder of what to do.
