Covid 19 Information

As you know, we are in another lockdown, with all the restrictions that brings. Details can be found on the Government website at:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home

Advice and support available from  Hampshire County Council  is on its website at : https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/coronavirus

Details of the ongoing vaccination programme can be found here.

As previously, there is help available to  Warnford residents, so please do get in touch if you need help or know of someone local who does.

As a small village most people will know their neighbours so please do keep an eye on anyone who may need help. In the previous lockdown it was sometimes difficult to get a slot for online deliveries from the big supermarkets and offers from those with regular slots to order for those who couldn’t get a delivery were much appreciated, so do think about anyone you could help in this way.

As before, the local shops  are doing what they can:

The West Meon shop  can be contacted on 01730 829310 or wmvsoffice@gmail.com  It is very happy to offer a ‘click and collect ‘service, where you can telephone or email in your order and it will be put out for collection. If you already get you newspaper or milk etc. delivered in the morning, you can add items to your delivery by contacting the shop by phone or email the day before.

Otherwise, if you need a delivery, the shop will try and arrange this for you.

Meonstoke Village Stores  can box up orders for people to collect and will also arrange deliveries, please email  any requests to info@meonstokepostofficeandvillagestores.co.uk

Buckinghams, Butchers in West Meon are operating as usual and hope this can continue. They will be offering deliveries,  to place an order, please contact them on 01730 829663 or info@buckinghamsarisanbutchery.com

We appreciate that some residents may need help in a  number of areas, including:

-shopping online or locally

-collecting medication

-dog walking

-problems due to being at home without visitors for a prolonged period.

If you need any help along these lines, please contact the Clerk. We have a list of volunteers from the previous first lockdown and will contact people on that as and when necessary. Of course, we appreciate that circumstances may have changed so if you find you can no longer offer help, please just say so if and when contacted. If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers, please contact the Clerk.

As we  use this website to disseminate  information about what is happening in the Parish, please do make sure that you have registered for Alerts.  You can do this by simply clicking on the blue box at the top right of this page that says "Sign up to our Email Alerts".

Let’s hope that the vaccines can be rolled out quickly and that the tide of covid can be turned.

In the meantime, keep safe.

Mark Rogers, Chair

Lucy Hutchinson, Clerk

Warnford Parish Meeting.
