Village Hall - Reopening

The hall is now available following the Covid-19 closure. Government guidance allows it to be used for the following kinds of activity:

• Indoor markets and craft fairs

• Seated meetings for clubs, societies etc

• Office work

• Small events involving limited catering

• Activities for children and young people

• Film shows

• Schools including pre-schools
• Small celebration events up to the capacity of the hall (see below)

The hall cannot yet be used for indoor fitness and exercise activities such as yoga, or for live performances

The maximum capacity of the hall (based on current social distancing guidance) is 25 people, but a lesser figure will apply to many kinds of activity. We will need to discuss this with hirers at the time of booking.

The hall is cleaned regularly, but hirers will be also expected to take responsibility for cleaning before and after the period of hire. Bookings need to be made well in advance so that cleaning arrangements can be made and agreed.

We will probably open initially for a limited number of days per week plus special events, but we will decide this when we know what is needed.
