Warnford Village Hall Reopening

Good news - the village hall will be reopening soon!

From 12th April we can open by special arrangement for certain specific activities, and from 17th May (subject to confirmation) the hall will be available by booking in the normal way.

The activities allowed from 12th April onwards are:

  • Childrens’ supervised activities – e.g. those organised for and by a school; parent and toddler groups; preschools. (but not private birthday parties)
  • Indoor markets (subject to the rules for retail shops)
  • Seated wedding receptions and wakes (with a limit of 15 people)
  • Work, voluntary and public service activities which cannot be undertaken at or from home (e.g polling station)

The activities allowed from 17th May (in addition to those above) are the following, as long as they are organised by a business, charity or public body:

  • Meetings, classes, clubs, film shows, plays, concerts and lectures and other non-physical activities for up to 25 people (see note below)
  • Indoor physical activities including yoga, pilates and exercise classes for up to 10 people (see note below)

From 17th May seated wedding receptions, wakes and other “significant life events” (e.g. Christenings - but not including birthdays) for up to 25 people will also be allowed.

From 17th May food and drink can be served at tables, but we will need to discuss this at the time of booking.

All activities will be subject to social distancing requirements. From 17th May activities involving social mixing up to a group size of 6 (or two households) will be allowed. Masks will be worn by adults except where this would negatively impact a person’s ability to undertake exercise or an activity.

The maximum capacity of the Hall according to Covid regulations is 25. Allowing 2m social distance with space for access etc., practical capacity for seated activities will be 20 - 22. Government guidelines for intensive fitness activities require 100 sq ft (10 sqm) per person. Capacity of main hall on this basis would be 10 people including instructor.

We have carried out a full risk assessment and put in place mitigations which make our hall “Covid Secure” in accordance with government guidelines.

At £7 per hour our rates are extremely reasonable. For further details and to make a booking please contact Amie Boyes on:
